Find A Hot Profitable And Rabid Market
Your first step is to find a hot, profitable and rabid market. Finding the right market to target is critical to your success.

The Market Selection Process
The market selection process first begins with you. Start by examining your areas of knowledge and the things you are passionate about. The reason behind this is simple. It is easier to work in a market you enjoy and know something about.

Exploring Your Market Ideas
The next step in the process is to explore the Internet to find out whether there are any existing products in your market. In order to get this big picture, you need to go where your market’s products are sold. (e.g. amazon.com and Clickbank)

Keyword Research
Each time someone enters search keywords into a search engine; those searches are stored in a database. By having access to information about what people are searching for, you can improve your web site's search engine ranking, target your advertising and uncover online markets more easily.

In order to do keyword research, you need a way to access the data the search engines have collected. You can do this online, from your web browser, or you can use desktop software.

Google External Keyword Tool – (free)
Overture/Yahoo Suggestion Tool – (free)

2. Find 3 High Converting Affiliate Programs In Your Market

The main criterion in choosing a program is conversion rate. The higher the "gravity" number under the product title the better the product is converting. "% referred” is representing the numbers of sales for this product have been referred by affiliates. There is another reason why this information is important, and it also points to the 2nd criteria to use in selection an affiliate program. It is to make sure the merchant is NOT aggressively competing with his or her affiliates!

3. Write A Review Article For One Product, And Place This Review On Your Opt-In Page

There are four reasons for writing a full-length product review that gives valuable information to your market:

i Your role is to be an information provider

ii Giving people valuable information up front improves your credibility.

iii People want and need this information. Show them that you provide it, and you WILL get tons of subscribers onto your list.

How To Write An Affiliate Review Article

i. Gather crucial elements for writing affiliate review from the sales page.

ii. Find discussions about the product on message boards and forums.

iii. Contact testimonials on the sales page to check with them about their experience with the product.

iv. Contact the product owner and ask if they provide “review copies” of their product to affiliates.

4. Drive market-specific traffic to the opt-in page to build your list

Now, we have to FOCUS on driving traffic (visitors) to your affiliate review opt-in page. More importantly, this traffic must be targeted, and market-specific.

You'll roll this knowledge into a traffic generation campaign that utilizes:

i. Articles to 'steal' search engine traffic

ii. Pay-per-click advertising

iii. Message boards and groups

iv. Social networking

v. Blogs

5. Follow Up With Your List With More Information

In keeping with your role as an information provider, it’s crucial that you build your relationship with your list by providing as much timely, useful information as possible. The key is to always have some form of information in front of your list, especially between the 'gaps' in each autoresponder sequence, and often in the middle of an ongoing sequence.

There are two ways to do this:

- Insert informational emails or newsletters between autoresponder sequences, and have these messages direct subscribers over to your blog.

- Use your autoresponder to broadcast 'one time' messages to your list.

Article Source:ArticlesBase.com

About the Author: Anthony Chan is a dedicated affiliate marketer to help newbies stay informed about online resources.Want to know more about Anthony please visit http://www.allnewbiecashmachine.com.

5 Steps to Build a Successful Online Affiliate Program

Author: Anthony Chan

1. However advanced Google's contextual ad serving algorithm may be, it is still a computer program (as opposed to a human being) trying to figure out what a web page is about.

Below are some tips to help you optimize your pages to make them more Adsense-friendly. Note that these tips deal with ad delivery rather than ad formatting or placement. While ad formatting and placement may affect ad click-through rates, they have nothing to do with the delivery of relevant ads to your site. Your site must display relevant ads before they have any chance of being clicked on.

1. Avoid too much content on a page

If Adsense does not understand what is your page is about, it cannot deliver ads targeted to its content. Although a human being can easily tell what a web page is about by taking a glance at it, computer algorithms are no so intelligent. If your page contains too much content, chances are that it also contains too many seemingly unrelated keywords. Adsense becomes confused and displays PSAs or ads unrelated to the topic of your page. Try dividing the page into smaller ones, each focusing on just a few related keywords.

2. Avoid too little content on a page

If your page contains lots of graphics and very little text, Adsense may have a hard time figuring out what it is about. This is especially true when the bulk of your content is derived from graphics and scripts. When possible, use text rather than graphics to display website names, page titles, and headline texts. Make certain to include your keywords in the title of your page and repeat them throughout the page. Avoid hiding your text through sneaky tactics, such as using tiny fonts or making your text the same color as the background. This may be construed by search engines as spam.

3. Repeat keywords that you are targeting

Keyword repetition makes it easier for Adsense to decipher what your page is about. Do this in moderation as excessive repetition may be considered spam by the search engines. Excessive repetition may also make your writing sound awkward to the human reader. Instead of repeating the same keyword more than 5 or 6 times on a page, use synonyms and related keywords. For example, instead of repeating "Adsense optimization" 20 times, you might try alternative phrases like "increase Adsense revenues" or "earn more from Adsense".

4. Avoid acronyms

I once wrote an article on pay-per-click advertising for one of my sites, and after I uploaded the article, I was perplexed to find ads for Apple computers on the article page. In fact, none of the ads had anything to do with pay-per-click advertising. Upon closer inspection, it occurred to me that I used the acronym PPC in place of pay-per-click numerous times in the article. As it turned out, "PPC" also stood for "PowerPC", Apple's line of Power Macintosh computers, which explained why I was getting all the Apple related ads. When I replaced all the "PPC" with "pay-per-click" and "pay per click", the problem went away.

5. Choose keywords with commercial value

You may get public service announcements rather than paid ads if your page deals with a subject matter whose keywords no one bids on. A remedy for this is to incorporate keywords with commercial value into your manuscript. For instance, if your page is on some obscure medical condition, you might try sprinkling a few drug names into your document to make it display paid ads rather than PSAs.
Source: ArticlesBase.com

About the Author:
Oudam Em is the webmaster of UnlimitedTraffic.net, a site that offers a wide range of cost-effective web traffic solutions. Days go by, you keep publishing, but no one comments and your traffic stats are barely registering. What do you do?

Like any website you own, you must do some blog promotion to start driving traffic to your site. Here are 16 steps, in no particular order of importance, that you can start doing now to get traffic moving to your blog.

1. Set up a Bloglet subscription form on your blog and invite everyone in your network to subscribe: family, friends, colleagues, clients, associates.
http://www.bloglet.com

2. Set up a feed on MyYahoo.com so your site gets regularly spidered by the Yahoo search engine (see tutorial on http://www.biztipsblog.com)
http://www.my.yahoo.com

3. Read and comment on other blogs that are in your target niche. Don't write things like "nice blog" or "great post." Write intelligent, useful comments with a link to your blog.

4. Use Ping-0-matic to ping blog directories. Do this every time you publish.
http://www.pingomatic.com

5. Submit your blog to traditional search engines:
http://www.submitfire.com

6. Submit your blog to blog directories. The most comprehensive list of directories is on this site:
http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/
Tip: Create a form to track your submissions; this can take several hours when you first start so schedule an hour a day for submitting or hire a VA to do it for you.

7. Add a link to your blog in your email signature file.

8. Put a link to your blog on every page of your website.

9. If you publish a newsletter, make sure you have a link to your blog in every issue.

10. Include a link to your blog as a standard part of all outgoing correspondence such as autoresponder sequences, sales letters, reports, white papers, etc.

11. Print your blog URL on your business cards, brochures and flyers.

12. Make sure you have an RSS feed URL that people can subscribe to.
The acronym RSS means Rich Site Summary, or some may consider its meaning as Really Simple Syndication. It is a document type that lists updates of websites or blogs available for syndication. These RSS documents (also known as 'feeds') may be read using aggregators (news readers). RSS feeds may show headlines only or both headlines and summaries.

To learn how news aggregators/RSS readers work, see this site: http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-readers.htm

13. Post often to keep attracting your subscribers to come back and refer you to others in their networks; include links to other blogs, articles and websites in your posts

14. Use Trackback links when you quote or refer to other blog posts. What is TrackBack? Essentially what this does is send a message from one server to another server letting it know you have posted a reference to their post. The beauty is that a link to your blog is now included on their site.

15. Write articles to post around the web in article directories. Include a link to your blog in the author info box (See example in our signature below).

16. Make a commitment to blog everyday. 10 minutes a day can help increase your traffic as new content attracts search engine spiders. Put it on your calendar as a task every day at the same time.
Tip: Use a hit counter to track your visitor stats: how many unique visitors, how many page views, average length of visit. You can get a free hit counter at http://www.sitemeter.com

Denise Wakeman of Next Level Partnership, and Patsi Krakoff of Customized Newsletter Services, have teamed up to create blogging classes and marketing services for independent professionals. I think this is a good time to point out that not every blog is destined for stardom. Some blogs simply will not excel, no matter how much effort and time is put into them. Many times the blogger is to blame. It is his/her poor decisions on content or user experience that are ultimately at fault. However, most of these are completely avoidable. Want to make sure you don’t make the same mistakes? Here’s how.

1. Writing too little content. This is anything from writing very short posts to posting very infrequently. Your blogs should be 300-500 words each. Give your readers something to indulge in. You’ve got to establish a routine that your readers can count on. When I go about my daily blog reading, I expect fresh content. When I don’t find it…I go elsewhere.

2. Bad navigation. Readers come from all walks of life. Not everyone is as uber-leet computer savvy as you. Yeah, so you’ve got a sweet flash animation drop down toolbar. That does you no good if the user doesn’t have flash installed or has no idea how to use it. Keep it simple and efficient. The draw here is your content, not your flashy web skills.

3. Poor marketing. Take advantage of directories, read up on SEO, use indexing tools, pinging tools, social network tools, etc. Create a signature with a link in every forum you belong to. Join new forums each day just for that purpose. Just make sure you have something real to contribute to the conversation or find yourself blacklisted as a spammer.

4. Too broad. Niche blogging is where its at. With the blogosphere saturation levels reaching an all time high, you’ve got to focus on smaller groups of people to increase your conversion rate. You can say 3 things to a thousand people, or a thousand things to 3 people. It doesn’t take a statistician to figure that one out.

5. Sterile content. To maintain any kind of readership you’ve got to have good, refreshing, original content. Don’t be just another wordpress blog. You’ve got to write engaging, thoughtful content to stimulate your readers and make them want to come back for more. Read a few books on writing. I recommend “The Elements of Style”.

6. Poor ad performance. A great many bloggers become disgruntled at their small earnings and decide the blog is a total failure. Don’t let this get in your way. This is such a feeble problem that can be solved by doing a bit of reading on placement and strategy.

7. Competition. There isn’t much you can do about this one. What I recommend is that you make friends, not enemies. Network. Treat other “competitors” as you would like to be treated. Generally speaking, bloggers are nice people. They like to help each other out. There’s always potential for a link swap or article review. Take advantage of things like ReviewMe.

8. Pulling the plug too early. If you’re blog doesn’t blow up within the first few months, don’t abandon it. Chances are, you’ve got a lot of lurkers that haven’t converted to subscribers yet. They’re waiting to see if this is going to be another one of those few week flings that fill up much of blogger.com or any of the other big name establishments. Have some faith.

9. No dedication. Many bloggers try to take on too much. They have 2-3 blogs going, hoping that one of them will make it big. They fail to realize that by doing so, they are condemning themselves to lower levels of success and in turn, placing more stress/work on themselves than required. Make one blog and stick to it. Don’t expect things to happen overnight.

10. No audience. As elementary as this sounds, you’ve got to have readers. You need to be taking advantage of social networking sites. You need to encourage your readers to comment. A non-active readership loosely translates to no readership at all. Any potential advertisers will see this and shrug off your blog as stagnant. This may complicate the conversion between casual browser and subscriber. Make sure you build a “community” environment for your readers.

I am a career IT consultant, small business owner, law school student and internet entrepreneur. A meme is a "unit of cultural information" which can propagate from one mind to another in a manner analogous to genes. The Z list is a blog meme, which has bloggers creating and sharing a list of many links to blogs in a single post. This list is known as Z-List since this is a list of blogs which have less exposure as compared to A-List Blogs.

How Can Z-List help?
Search engines like Google, Technorati, etc. have a democratic system of ranking your blog / website. The number of other sites / blogs that link to your blog / site is taken into consideration while assigning a page rank to your site / blog. Therefore, when link of your blog / site, listed in a Z-list is posted on a number of other sites, the number of blogs / sites linking to your blog goes up and helps to improve the page rank of your blog. Secondly, the webmasters of the blogs which are included in the Z-list, on your site, may want to see who is linking to their blog and may visit your site, request a backlink, leave a comment and even may subscribe your RSS feed if they get interested in your content.
